"As we settle deep into the chill of winter, we all want to have a go-to recipe for a warm comfort meal. Chef Eleanor Taylor will teach you a spin on a classic favorite 一pot pie, using her famous butter pie crust recipe. As you cook down curried vegetable stew on the stove, Eleanor will show you the ins and outs of crust making for your own savory mini pie and you will whip up a salad to go with your meal. At the end of the class you will get time to socialize and relish in what you made in the kitchen with a glass of wine.

Coffee Class at Springtown: Intro to Home Brew Methods

Where: Springfield Coffee Co, 3541 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO

When: Thursday, January 30th from 6 - 7:30 pm

Cost: $20 per person

"Are you an avid coffee-shop lover, looking to up your at-home coffee brewing game? Maybe a Keurig user in recovery (we joke, but seriously)? Even if you just enjoy a good cup of coffee and want to know more about what all goes into the perfect cup at home, this may be the event for you!

Springtown Coffee Co. will be hosting its very first "Coffee Class" as an introduction to home brewing methods. This is the perfect class for beginners who just want to expand their knowledge of coffee and learn how to better utilize some of the most common at-home brew methods. In this class, we'll be covering the Chemex pourover and the traditional French Press. We'll also be talking about the differences in beans, roasts, grind sizes and all kinds of coffee-related tips!
