An Ozark native, Abbye Torgerson is a Project Architect at Torgerson Design Partners, working with clients to understand their vision for their design project and bring it to reality. Abbye believes design is an interactive, exploratory process. She strives to create distinct facilities and spaces that not only sets her clients apart in their industry but are also memorable for the people that inhabit them. Abbye is very passionate about her Ozark community and wants to use the Historic River District to take Ozark to the next level.
Her passion is in hospitality design, as she completed her undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Working in restaurants and resorts, she’s developed valuable background knowledge in the hospitality realm and hopes to continue researching ways to design exceptional hospitality environments. Abbye has been fortunate to gain experience in the Hospitality Industry managing important details on large complex projects, like Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World, Orlando. Graduating at the top of her class at the University of Kansas’ world-renown Master of Architecture program, Abbye has the proven ability to work hard to achieve successful results.
At TDP, she’s involved in a variety of projects and tasks such as construction documentation, rendering, and web development. Abbye strives to keep TDP on the leading edge of technology and helps on the marketing side of the business as well.
